#43: HOW TO FIND TIME FOR YOUR CREATIVE PURSUIT

Time is a created thing. To say “I don’t have time” is to say “I don’t want to”. — Lao Tzu

At any point we decide to do one thing, we could be doing something else. So instead of writing this article, I could have been doing something else. 

Perhaps, I could have been watching TV, chatting a friend up or even eating a mouthwatering dish. But no, I didn't do all that. I decided the best value for my time right now is to write.

See, in an infinite set of permutations, you could die at any point in time. And since the clock is always ticking, you then have to always try to get the most out of the time you have left.

A lot of people tell me they are busy and they don't have time to do things that they love. Things like writing, reading a book and other interesting pursuits as well 

To them, they just don't have time. To me, I'd say they seem to miss the point. The problem is, they picture this perfect moment in which they have an abundant time to do whatever it is that they want to do at the time they feel just like doing it.

The sad reality is, most people rarely have such abundant time. We all have a lot of things to do. Like me, when I'm in school, I'm often busy. But whenever I want to do anything that has to do with writing, I find time out of the limited time I have just to settle down and write.

You see, you'll always think you don't have time. And once you believe that, you'll continue to find reasons to justify that. But the truth is, all you need is to look at your busy schedule and set out a particular time to do whatever it is that you want to do.

Whatever it is that you've been wanting to do and you've been unable to do it because you believe you have no time, start it as soon as possible.

No more excuses! Go ahead and create time and then fix it into your schedule. I'm sure you'll thank me later.
