#23: THRIVING: HOW TO STANDOUT IN A COMPETITIVE SPACE

Are you a writer? A businessman? A student? A teacher? Whatever you are, this is for you.

Yes, you. That's because there's timeless wisdom for anyone who is patient enough to read what is written in the next paragraphs.

Look, the world is indeed a competitive space. There's literally dozens of people out there chasing excellence in the same path you are.

If you're a writer, there are countless writers out there. If you're a businessman, I'm sure you know the market is damn competitive. The list goes on and on.

The only thing you can do is to up your game by becoming the best in the field you are. Abraham Lincoln knows this. He once said that “whatever you are, be a good one.”

The wisdom behind the above quote is that if you're good at what you do, you'll eventually standout. And if you stand out, you'll attract the right audience for the kind of thing you do.

Nonetheless, you need to understand that it's not easy as reciting A B C D. As stated by Robert Greene in his book Mastery, “the pursuit of mastery is not linear, it is constantly changing and shifting.”

Thus, brace yourself up, my friend. It's going to be one hell of a ride.
