#25: THE QUICK FIX MENTALITY

Is it the Benz, the iPhone or the latest designer wear out there that's making you feel like your life isn't okay? If yes, then you're in the right place. I feel so too sometimes and let me guess...you feel so too.

Clearly, most people are moved by such spectacles. And as far as I can tell, it's making us have this quick-fix mentality. The mentality of getting things done with the least required effort. Truth is, while many might be living a flashy life than ours, we ought to understand that we are in a competition with no one. 

I know all humans like good things, but the truth is, are you ready to work hard to get those things that you want? If you really are, then you have to be patient. You also have to work hard and focus on making your life better. Gradually, you'll get to that peak you want. 

Trying to rush things or cut through corners so as to get those things you want isn't good. Starving yourself to buy things that aren't needs but mere wants isn't good also. Is it the iPhone? Please man, don't starve yourself because you want to buy it. Forget the portrait mode camera that's freaking you out and be patient. When it's time, you'll comfortably make that purchase. 

Develop this habit of telling yourself that things will eventually get better as long as you work hard in the right direction towards achieving your goals.

Forget this quick-fix to your problems. Forget the emotional triggers that are making you act like a prisoner to your desires and think of how to make your life better.
